You know what sucks about having a blog?

The only thing I have to write about is my inner most thoughts and secrets, and I don't wanna write those down! Fantastic!

I stopped a robbery-attemp today

I was hanging out at Ben's house after work playing some magic with John and Nate(co-workers), when Nate got a call from his fiance saying that some kids were kicking the door to the Honey Cream Domuts shop next door to their house on Vincennes. So we all decided that this aggression against two little old ladies and their domut shop would not stand. We put on our boots and went down to the store four deep, only to hear low and behold loud kicking noises that sounded an awful lot like four or five adolescents kicking a door in. After phoning the proper authorities we walked by the kids to John's front porch, then the kids wised up when they realized we were just standing there watching them. About 5 minutes later a cop showed up and we talked to him. About 10 minutes after that they were all caught. I am now a local hero, and we now have a four man crime fighting vigilante squad.

The last two days

They were ok, I've seen better but they were ok.

I worked on Thursday and Friday, thinking that it was Saturday on Friday. I realized that the bar in Richos looks a lot like the inside of a boat. I managed to switch hours around so that I didn't have to work on Saturday at all. Anymore I'm not sure what my job is, I can only assume it's to run around like an insane fuck and be tired.

On saturday I woke up at 2 in the afternoon, normally I'd consider this a complete waste of a day, but after not having a solid nights sleep for the past month I needed the 12+ hours of sleep. I noticed that nearly all the snow on the ground was gone and that I could feel all of my extrimities. Some boring shit and a can of monster later I was at Mari's house, something involving a vacuum cleaner happened, I took some pictures of the front of her house from extremely close up angles because they have a series of nails poking out of their patio for some reason or another, and their neighbor has a really odd tree.

We drove down New Albany listening to some strange ass music I picked up called "Jello Biafra and Mojo Nixon-Prairie Home Invasion" I laughed at the music, she laughed at the way I was dancing to it. We got to Louisville, then to the highlands, then to Bardstown Rd. "I would like to piss and another monster" I thought, so we went to the value market to piss and buy an energy drink. Monsters keep me from being an asshole, or boring.

We walked down Bardstown Rd noting the nice warm weather, talking shop, mulling over business propositions and the such, and poking fun at people or things we saw along the way.

We got to Cafe 360, where we were initially heading towards. There were a shit-ton of hipsters of all types in there, smoking hookahs and eating their vegan delights like they were the hottest pieces of shit on earth. We took a small seat at the very back of the restaraunt, right next to the bathrooms and the kitchen, plus I could see everything from there. She ordered the roasted vegetable sandwich, I got the BLT with fries. Dinner was good, I explained to her why I called the fries "chronic", then what "chronic" meant.

On the way back up the street (road) we stopped infront of Ear-X-Tacy, for whatever reason we didn't initially go in. I watched as small gangs of young teenagers walked in and out and laughed inwardly at them. I also saw one group of kids get accosted by one of the roving ministries that you can usually find preaching to some dumb group of kids on a friday or saturday night here. I laughed again then vowed that I would create an awkward situation for them by the end of the night.

Inside Ear-X-Tacy I wondered around looking for a possible "punk" section, which I could not. This frustrated me but I eventually found what I was looking for in the "Indie-Rock" section. It was odd seeing Black Flag, Operation Ivy, and the Circle Jerks, mixed in with bands like Spoon, or Yo Le Tengo. It was abnormally warm inside of the store so I had to take my coat off and sling it over one of my shoulders while I browsed through the music. I eventually bought a CD, and a button, then I left. I stood outside for a few minutes enjoying the scenery and wondering around alleys while Mari finished looking around inside.

On the walk back to the Value Market parking lot I had a bad case of having to piss. We ran across a cross walk in front of traffic, took pictures of downed power lines, and eventually, the two missionary christian douche bags spotted us. I actually had a sort of diatribe prepared in the event that I would have to deal with them, something along the lines of "Listen I'm open minded and respect your ability to believe in what you want to, and you should have the same respect for me and my beliefs." then I would walk off. But instead I froze up and forgot this, so instead when one of them stuck his hand out and said "Hi how are you doing" I just put on this incredibly dead pan facial expression, quickened by pace, and said loudly in the silliest voice I could muster that moment "I'M DOING FINE BUT I COULD BE DOING A LOT BETTER", all while staring at the electrical wires overhead. I passed the guy up while holding Mari's hand, his hand was still outstretched but he looked a little confused and said "You, could be doing better?" but at that point I had a good 20 foot lead on the scrub. Bryce 1, god fearing Christians 0.

I eventually got to piss, while whistling and unnerving the guy at the urinal next to me. We sat down at a couple of cheap aluminum chairs in the middle of the mall and enjoyed the cheap jazz they play over the intercoms to prevent riots from being incited, she read a local newspaper, I gawked at people who walked by, and fucked about with my phone. Somehow she moved her chair next to me and continued reading while I took pictures of her from different angles and with different exposures and other film jargon. "We should go get our tickets now," one of us said, so we did.

We got the tickets from an overly energetic theatre employee. Then went outside and enjoyed the warm summer weather, and I accomplished some excellent people watching. I saw hipsters young and old, in all varieties. An old woman trying to look young and sexy again asked Mari for a cigarette or a light, I forget which. I told her "Those things'll kill ya yanno? But not fast enough". I don't think she caught that last part though. A younger couple Asked us for a light as well, they were cooler, I have no idea how old they were.

I don't want to type anymore, all in all it was a good night, and now everything is bright and colors appear much more vivid than normally. goodnight faggots.

I want to punch you in the mouth

I feel most comfortable when driving through the city late at night/early in the morning. It's something about seeing the straight world completely shut down, completely empty Apple Bees with all the lights shut out, Wal-Marts with empty parking lots, pinnacles of consumerism that you rarely see dark or empty. I get a sense of solitude, mostly because I'm the only car on the road for miles, except in the off chance that an unmarked police car starts to follow me with its lights off. I've driven for miles like this, admiring city lights and gas stations. I'm a real mysterious piece of shit.

It's a two hour delay and I'm a little pissed

Because I'm supposed to be reading Mac Beth right now instead of writing on a shitty blog while eating my cereal. But I don't really care about the big Mac, I just want to sit here and look at pictures of Exene Cervenka and Henry Rollins until it's time to actually go to school.

I'm bored

bored bored bored. The only entertainment I get out of anything these days is when I take long as fuck drives around the city at 2 in the morning, or when I troll dumb kids at the mall. Whoever said life was full of wonder and excitement was a goddamn liar. Fucking Allen Ginsberg.

I went to the mall today

It was scary, there were a bunch of people who looked exactly like each other and I had to walk around laughing. I bought a shirt that says "Black Flag" and has a black flag logo. I bitched out the chick at the store for charging 20 dollars plus tax for a very plain white t-shirt plus tax. She said she was sorry but that didn't excuse the fact that she was wearing too much make up and had a piercing in her dimple, and there was a whole lot of dimple to pierce on her, being a fat chick and all. I went to the record store to see if they had some Tom Waits or maybe Deltron 3030 that I could buy so I could feel less guilty about downloading their albums, they had none. As I was leaving the mall I made a mental note to buy a pair of heavier boots in case I ever had to throw down with someone in a mall, everyone there looked exactly alike.

This has been an afternoon in the life of Bryce.
